İ passed a wonderfull time at Dörtnal Ranch - a stable 30 minutes from Marmaris. The horses were well cared, trained, the equipment for horses and riders european standard.

The stable offer guided trail rides in small groups in all paces. Beginners and experienced riders will not be mixed . Beginners will first be trained in the school yard .

İ can recommend this place for real horseman/woman and for those who want to learn the horse riding.

The horse riding session is between 1 and 4 hours according to your condition-the prices are in their webside:www.dortnal.com

I did an 1,5 hour round trip in the mountains and paid 25 Pound. It was worth the money but I wouldn't advice a half or even full day ride if you don't have time to get used to charge.Next time I intend to do more rides during my holiday with th aim of standing a half-day ride at the end of my holidays.

Dortnal ranch certainly is doing an excellent job

Has anyone ever visited the ranch next door?

Marmaris Horse Riding Club. 2 horses have died there in the last two weeks, one was 3 years old, and its standard of care is diabolical. The horses are worked 4-5 times a day and rides go out at 12 noon & 2pm...the hottest times. The staff are untrained and speak only limited english.I strongly recomend that everyone opt for Dortnal ranch if they wish to ride and avoid Marmaris horse riding club at all costs.

Thanks to the above, I visited Dortnal Ranch this week and was really pleased with what I saw and the horse riding lesson I had with a professional and experienced horse rider and trainer. The horses all seem in good condition and enjoy a good standard of living. The horse was specially chosen, (good temperament etc for someone who hasn't riden properly since childhood) for me to suit my needs. The owners are very friendly and helpful and the location is beautiful at this (winter) time of year when everywhere is green.

Dortnal Ranch does a lot of children riding, in summer mostly with handicaped kids but in winter the local children from marmaris have a regular ride.

They use a shetland pony which even 3-6 year old kids can groom and bigger ponies for children rides.

The horses are trained- for lessons in the yard, there are two jumping horses and three horses which they use only for trail rides.

İ think everybody can find a horses for his riding level.
